Magnetic Therapy is an ancient form of treatment for all sorts of pain and illnesses. Devices that are purported to provide symptomatic relief are available in many places and all sorts of formats. They make many claims about their ability to heal or at least help you manage symptoms, but the science behind the claims of success has often been missing or misunderstood.
Magnetic Field Theory
The theory behind magnetic therapy relates to the application of the Lamar Frequency Formula in physics. It states that by increasing the magnetic field in which an atom exists, the velocity of electrons and protons will be increased proportionately. By applying the right magnetic field, some electrons can theoretically be speeded up 10-20,000 times faster than normal.
According to an article by Dr. Bonlie, published on the Preston A. Waterhouse Foundation website: "At this dramatically increased velocity, magnetic resonance occurs much more readily. Magnetic resonance is a phenomenon that occurs when the pulsed electromagnetic current coming from the brain is at a harmonic of the frequency of the targeted tissue. This is described by Robert O. Becker, MD, a noted researcher, author, teacher, inventor and expert in biomagnetism in his books.
The Body Electric and Cross Currents. The net result of the enhancement in magnetic resonance is increased efficiency of chemical reactions and increased available energy to that specific area." So the increased magnetic field allows the body to more efficiently provide resources to the injured tissue.
Dr. Bonlie's application of this theory has resulted in the development of a large direct current powered magnetic field generating device called the Magnetic Molecular Energizer (MME). It is a large machine poised over a table where the patient lies in the powerful magnetic field that it generates. Dr. Bonlie has used the MME to help stroke victims recover from the symptoms that their strokes have left them with.
Electromagnetic fields are now also regularly used to help speed the healing of injuries in sports injury clinics and by professional sports teams and organizations all over the world. Professional athletes can lose enormous sums of money for themselves and for their employers when they miss playing as a result of injury, so we can assume that if they are investing time and money in magnetic therapy, these organizations must feel strongly that it is an effective treatment.
Where does this leave you and me? Alas, we are not all professional athletes and it is enormously expensive to avail ourselves of these types of treatment on a regular basis. Indeed it can be completely impractical from the perspective of dedicating the time required to attend regular therapy appointments. Time and money; would that we all had more of both!
This leads us back to the more convenient and affordable options that are increasingly available in pharmacies and also online. There are any number of products that make claims to helping manage pain and symptoms from chronic issues such as arthritis and menopause to short term problems such as sports injury. As published in the February 2005 issue of The Journal of Wound Care, a clinical trial by Dr. Nyjon Eccles in the UK, showed that the product 4Ulcercare, made by Magnopulse of Bristol, England, was able to heal open wounds on extremities in people who suffered from reduced circulation as a result of age, heart disease, blood pressure, diabetes and so on. The product was picked up by England's National Health Service because nothing else could achieve these results. This product sells for the equivalent of less than $60 and only has to be purchased once, so it is pretty affordable by anyone's standards. With a little more confidence based on the science that backs up this form of support for healing and pain management, have a look online or at your local pharmacy and you are likely to find a suitable and proven product that will help you or your loved one to manage the symptoms of chronic or short term pain or illness.
“It must be frustrating to survive the gauntlet that is our western medical schooling system only to one day come to the realization that you have been taught only to manage illness and disease instead of curing it.”
― Gary Hopkins
